Postdoc Research Assistant Looking for a Room

I've just started a position at Durham Uni as a researcher and I'm looking for a new place. I've visited Durham a handful of times but don't know the area super well.

I'm looking for like-minded people, preferably other academics or grad students (but that's not a dealbreaker!) In my spare time I'm usually either singing in a choir, walking around a museum, or doing some kind of cultural activity. I also enjoy a eating out, pub trips, or shopping days. I'm pretty peaceful when I'm at home and I also like to cook and bake.

I plan to work from my campus office, so I'd rarely be around in the daytime in the week. I don't have my own pet but I love animals, so I'd be happy living with a dog or cat (my previous flatmate had a cat and my parents have a dog).

My contract is until the end of June next year, so that's the minimum I'd be staying but I'm hoping to stay for longer! I also don't have a car, so really I'm looking for somewhere either on a bus line or biking distance from Durham.
