PhD Student Looking for a Furnished Room — Newcast

Hi! I’m Elsi, an international PhD student from Mexico, and I’ll be starting my PhD at Newcastle University in September/October 2026.
I’m looking for a furnished room in a clean and friendly shared house or flat, preferably within a reasonable distance of Newcastle University.
Ideally, I’m looking for:

• £400–£500 pcm
• Bills included, if possible
• A furnished room
• Wi-Fi and washing machine
• Short-term or flexible tenancy preferred, although I’m also open to longer stays
• Female or mixed house share
• En-suite would be a bonus, but it’s not essential

I’m quiet, tidy, responsible and respectful of shared spaces. I’m a biologist and will be moving to Newcastle for my PhD, so I’m looking for a comfortable and peaceful place where I can study and settle in.
I’m happy to provide any required references or documentation and would be very happy to arrange a video viewing before I arrive in Newcastle.
