Looking for a relaxed two-person home in East

I’m looking to live with one other person, either in an existing home with a room available or by buddying up and finding somewhere together. Please no large house share/HMO.

I’m mainly looking around Clapton, Hackney, Leyton, Leytonstone, Walthamstow and Stepney Green, with reasonable transport links to Bow, where I work. My budget is up to £1,200 per month excluding bills.

Ideally, I’d like a comfortable home with a decent shared living space. Semi-furnished would suit me well, although I can be flexible, and some outdoor space would be a lovely bonus. I’m completely happy to share a bathroom.

A little about me: I’m 38 and run my own food business, catering at events, weddings and festivals. The business is based in Bow, and I’m often away working during the summer. Outside work, I enjoy surfing, running, the gym, eating out, music and seeing friends.

I’m clean, considerate and easygoing, and I’d like to live with someone similar. It would be nice to occasionally chat, share a meal or have a drink together, while also being comfortable doing our own thing and respecting each other’s space. I’d be happy to have a cleaner weekly or fortnightly to keep the communal areas easy for both of us.

I’m comfortable with friends or partners visiting occasionally, with mutual consideration and good communication. Ultimately, I’m looking for a relaxed, mature home where we can both feel properly settled.
