Neurospicy geezer seeking a sanctuary

Hello!

I’m Jacob. I’ve just started a new job in Canary Wharf in the Civil Service, so looking to move back to London when I can.

Unfortunately I’ve reached the age where I’ve somehow missed the boat and all my mates have already secured flats, so I’m now trying to find somewhere near them and ideally sublet if possible. Bit of a pain, but my contract runs until March 2027 and is essentially one of those government jobs where they keep extending it rather than making full time, so a rental contract might be a bit tricky!

Bit about me, I’m an extroverted introverted neurospicy geezer. Love meeting new people and socialising, especially a good knees up, but equally very happy doing my own thing and having a chilled one. Massive into music, exploring new places, having a mooch, cooking, films and generally saying yes to things.

I’m also training for the London Marathon next year, so currently going through the slightly strange transition of getting back into that after a fun summer!

I’m not in a massive rush to move as I’m currently living with my parents, so I’m more interested in finding somewhere that actually feels like a good fit than jumping into the first room available. I’ve done the big house share thing before and got the T-shirt, so ideally looking for a smaller, friendly house where people actually get on and have a bit of a life together, while still being able to do their own thing.

Tidy, clean and respectful and all that jazz. Not my first rodeo!
