Relocating back to London this week — room wanted
Hi — I'm Ameen, 34, moving back to London after a few years abroad. I lived and worked here from 2019 to 2022 and I'm glad to be coming back. I land this Sunday and can move in straight away.
Being upfront: I'm between jobs. I'm job-hunting from day one — my background is in research and political risk analysis, but I'm equally happy taking hospitality or warehouse work while the right role comes together. So that rent is never a question; I can pay 3 months upfront, and I'm happy to show bank statements covering it.
My background: a master's from SOAS, and work across the Middle East and Europe. Outside work, I'm at the gym, read a lot, play guitar (headphones on in a shared flat, promise), and I'll happily lose a Sunday to a long walk somewhere green.
As a flatmate, I'm clean, quiet and low-drama. Not a party host, but not a hermit either — I like a place where people actually talk in the kitchen. Non-smoker, no pets.
I'm after a room in a settled, friendly house share — furnished, shared living room, decent wifi. I can provide a reference from a previous London landlord and from my last employer. Happy to view in person once I land, or do a video call before then.
