Looking for a Double Room in East London

🏡 LOOKING FOR A DOUBLE ROOM IN EAST LONDON 🇬🇧 | MOVE-IN ASAP

Hey everyone! 💗 I’m arrived today in London from Melbourne, Australia,. Im currently staying with someone for the first couple of days, but I’m looking to find somewhere to settle into as soon as possible!

📍 LOCATION
My strong preference is East London, ideally Zones 1–3. The closer to central London, the better! I’m pretty set on East London and would prefer not to live elsewhere.

💷 BUDGET
Ideally £1,200 per month or under, but I can go a little over for the right place. Please let me know whether bills are included and what the upfront costs and rental requirements are.

🛏️ THE ROOM
I’m looking for a spacious double room, ideally somewhere I can make a proper home. I’m on a two-year visa and want somewhere long-term and permanent, as I really don’t want to keep moving. My cat also hates moving, so finding somewhere we can both settle into is really important to me!

👩🏻 A LITTLE ABOUT ME

• I’m 27, turning 28 in February.
• I work in marketing and run an online business from home, and I’ll also be looking for part-time work in London.
• I’ve been renting for around 10 years and have lived in multiple share houses, so I’m very experienced with communal living.
• I’m super clean, respectful and considerate of shared spaces.
• Ideally, I’d love to live with fun, friendly housemates around my age, preferably an all-girls household.
• Very LGBTQ+ friendly! 🏳️‍🌈
• I may be awake at some unusual hours initially while adjusting from Australian time, so a household that’s relaxed about different schedules would be ideal.

🐈 A LITTLE ABOUT MY CAT, MIDNIGHT 🖤

Midnight turns nine on 14 November and is a gorgeous little black cat who absolutely LOVES people. She’s super affectionate, friendly and loving with humans, but unfortunately, she can be a bit of an asshole around other animals 😂

I’ll be bringing her over from Australia later, so the landlord must explicitly allow cats, and I need to make sure the household is suitable for her. I’m open to living with other pets if they’re tolerant and the animals can be safely managed, but I want to be upfront that Midnight can be difficult around them.

Ideally, I’d love to live with someone who spends a fair bit of time at home and might be open to looking after her occasionally for extra pay while I travel around Europe. Of course, that’s something we could discuss separately!

💰 RENTAL REQUIREMENTS

Please let me know what documents, references, deposits and upfront payments are required. Ideally, I’d prefer to arrange rent payments directly with the landlord or main tenant.
