Spanish researcher seeks cosy room/MarJul27

Hi everyone! 😊

I’m Alba, a healthcare professional and researcher from Barcelona, Spain. I’ll be coming to Southampton for a three-month research stay at the University of Southampton, from late March to early July 2027.

I’m looking for a lovely, comfortable and peaceful place to call home during my stay.

Ideally, I’d love a bright, cosy double room, preferably with a private bathroom, or a small self-contained studio or annexe. I’d be equally happy renting a room in a quiet private home, perhaps with a mature live-in landlord.

A little about me: I’m warm, considerate, tidy and naturally introverted. I’m quite independent and really value a calm, relaxed home where everyone respects each other’s privacy and personal space. I’m friendly and always happy to have a chat, but I’m not looking for a particularly social house share.

Outside work, I love reading, discovering independent bookshops, going to indie gigs, staying active and exploring new places.

My preferred location is near Southampton city centre, with good bus connections to the hospital campus, although I’m flexible about the area for the right place.

My budget is £700–£850 per month, ideally including bills.

I’m hoping to move in around 28–29 March 2027 and stay until approximately 30 June–2 July, with a little flexibility on dates.

Above all, I’m looking for somewhere comfortable, peaceful and welcoming where I can genuinely feel at home.
