21-year-old student moving to London for placement

This is what I look like

Hi!

I'm Liya, a 21-year-old Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Edinburgh who grew up in Aberdeen, Scotland. I'm moving down to London in January for an 8-month full-time placement at Foster + Partners and am looking for a room in a friendly flatshare!

Ideally, I'm looking for somewhere in Wandsworth, Battersea or the surrounding areas. My budget is up to £1,500 per month including bills, and I'm hoping to move in during the first week of January 2027.

A little about me: I'm friendly, easy-going, tidy and love meeting new people. I'm big on chatting and am very excited to meet and get to know new people in London. I'm always down for a pub trip, shared dinner or watch party, but also appreciate everyone having their own space and routines. I'm clean and considerate in shared spaces; my favourite chore is microwave cleaning and a kitchen mop down. I spend a year abroad in UCLA in California where I shared a room with two roommates so I've gotten pretty adaptable and good at adjusting to other people.

Outside of uni, I've spent the last three years singing in a voice-and-guitar duo and playing live music in pubs around Edinburgh, which has been a really fun part of my life! I also enjoy exploring new places, going out for drinks, trying new thing (most recently I've joined the pole dancing society- it's been so much fun, would recommend!) and making the most of my time outside work.

I'm hoping to find somewhere that feels like a home with lovely flatmates who are happy to socialise now and again.
