PhD student seeking room – Jan 2027

Hi! I'm Federica, a 26-year-old PhD student at the University of Padova, Italy. I'll be in Southampton for a six-month research visit at the university, from 10 January 2027, and I'm looking for a room in a friendly, relaxed shared house.

I've lived in shared flats in Padova for the past seven years, so shared living comes naturally to me. I'm tidy, considerate and respectful of other people's space and quiet time, and I always do my part with cleaning and household chores. I like a home where housemates get along and maybe share a meal or a chat now and then, but where everyone also has their own space.

In my free time I love swing dancing and I'm hoping to find a swing community in Southampton! I also enjoy knitting, going for long walks and cycling. And of course I'm Italian, so I love food: cooking, trying new places and sharing a good meal with others.
I'd ideally like to live near the Highfield Campus, or somewhere well connected. A double room would be perfect.
