Quiet Carer and Artist Seeking Space Near Coast

Hello!

I’m Alice, a full-time carer working with older adults and an artist in my spare time. I’m looking to relocate from Exeter towards the East Devon coast to find somewhere peaceful to call home.

I’m quiet, considerate and independent, and I really value a calm, respectful living environment. Outside of work I spend much of my free time creating small artworks, walking, sea swimming and exploring the coast. My work pattern means I have several days off during the week, so I’m looking for somewhere that can genuinely feel like home rather than simply somewhere to stay between shifts.

What I’m looking for:

I’m ideally looking for a large, bright room with good natural light in a spacious, peaceful home surrounded by greenery. I’d love to share with one or two like-minded people who value kindness, respect, peace and having space to do their own thing.

Artists, creatives and nature lovers would be wonderful, but more than anything I’m looking for a home where I can feel settled and comfortable, with a little breathing room and some outdoor space I can actually enjoy.

I’m also very open to something a little different if the right space comes along, such as:

* a self-contained annexe or studio
* a converted outbuilding
* a room in a character property with a little extra space to create

Ideally I’d love to be within walking distance of a village or town, so I’m not completely reliant on the car, with easy access to the coast and surrounding countryside.

A little more about me:

I’m clean, reliable and easy-going. I don’t smoke or have pets (although I love animals), and I’m definitely more at home with cosy cups of tea and a home-cooked meal than late nights or parties.

I’m looking for somewhere that feels calm and well cared for, ideally along the East Devon coast or in one of the surrounding villages. I’m hoping to find somewhere fairly settled rather than a short-term arrangement.
