Experienced Londoner working in music seeks home

I’m Abby. Originally from Northampton but I’ve been living in shared houses in London for nearly 13 years now so I’d like to think I’m quite the expert on being a considerate housemate. I get that everyone is different when it comes to how a home runs and I’m good at adapting. I pride myself on being clean and pulling my weight; you won’t catch me leaving bins or washing up for someone else, it’s just not my style.

I’m 38 and hopelessly single. I like to think I’m young at heart and enjoy having fun as much as I value quiet time and a peaceful home. I work in live music & events (which can sometimes mean free tickets!) and do a bit of freelance event work on the side. I love fashion, music, gigs, festivals, and the arts. You can usually find me at a live show, gallery, sauna, on a bike ride/walk, or cooking. I love to cook and am always up for sharing a meal over a wine or two.

For peace of mind: I’m progressive, open-minded, and big on creating an inclusive, kind home where everyone can be themselves and feel safe and respected, no matter who they are.

I recently had to leave my beloved flat in Clapton where I lived for 8 years, so I can come with house plants, some lovely furniture, and kitchen bits. They can come with me if you have space, but no stress if not, they can easily stay where they are.

I’m very much looking for a place to call home where I can relax after work, but I’m always up for socialising too. I’ve been lucky in the past to call my housemates friends and would love for that to be the case where I move to next. I keep myself busy and have my own group of friends, but I’m always up for hanging out while also respecting that we all need our alone time. In the week I keep it pretty low key, then spend my weekends out and about.
