Professional Seeking Accommodation Near Drax 08/26

Hello,

My name is Andrew, and I am a 36-year-old Senior Quantity Surveyor who will be joining the Eastern Green Link 2 (EGL2) civil engineering project near Drax Power Station.

As my home is in North Wales, I am seeking accommodation during the working week from mid-to-late August 2026 onwards. The project is currently forecast to run until the end of 2029, so I am ideally looking for a longer-term arrangement.

Preferred Location
Ideally, I am looking for accommodation within approximately 30 minutes' drive west of Drax Power Station, although I would also consider properties located up to 10 minutes east of Drax.

Preferred locations include:
-Riccall
- Selby
- Brayton
- Hambleton
- Snaith
- Knottingley
- Pontefract

Accommodation Requirements
- Ideally a self-contained studio, annexe, or apartment
- Furnished with a double bed and desk/workspace
- En-suite facilities preferred, but not essential
- Self-contained accommodation is my preference, although I would consider shared accommodation under the right circumstances.
- Bills included preferred.
- Cleaner preferred but not essential.
- A Monday-to-Friday arrangement would be ideal, provided I can return on Sunday evenings (around 10–11pm) ahead of the working week
- Secure off-road parking is essential
