Looking to buddy up ideally for a pork free home 👋

I’m Sonia, a software developer working in London. I mostly WFH but would love to change that!

My current flat is being sold, so I’m looking for a like-minded woman (max 2!) who’d be up for grabbing a coffee, getting to know each other and potentially buddying up to find a place together! I’m also open to joining an existing pair if we vibe. I’m hoping to find a long-term home, rather than just somewhere to sleep.

I’ve lived with women from all sorts of backgrounds and walks of life, and I’m very open to doing so again! One thing to flag from the outset, to avoid wasting anyone’s time, is that I’d ideally like a pork-free home, as I have invested in some boujie new steel pots and pans and a microwave that I absolutely don’t mind sharing, but I’d want to avoid cross-contamination. It’s something that matters to me culturally and personally 🙂 Mentioning it upfront has worked well with previous housemates, and I’d want it to feel comfortable and reasonable for everyone sharing the space, rather than imposing on anyone’s lifestyle.

I’m liberal in my politics and would value sharing living spaces with those who don’t like Trump and want to see a free Palestine some day 🙂 Though I’m not religious or particularly traditional, I come from a South Asian and Muslim background, if you can’t tell 😛, so I embrace intersectional thinking and understand certain cultural and family nuances 😉😂

I’ve furnished my current place, which is a 2-bed flat. Ideally, I’d love a home with a shared living room and a friendly, communal feel — somewhere with lots of natural light coming in for my plants.. where we can have the occasional house dinner, catch up over a cuppa, or have friends over for a relaxed evening or movie night. I love making connections wherever I go, but I’m equally mindful of everyone’s need for their own space. No pressure to be joined at the hip!

I really value people who are kind, considerate, self-aware, proactive, clean and direct in their communication. I love women who know themselves, have strong boundaries and can communicate their needs openly, while still being open-minded and willing to compromise when it matters. I’m pretty go-with-the-flow myself, so someone with a rigid, “my way or the highway” attitude probably wouldn’t be the best fit 😂

I’m tidy, conscious of shared spaces and would love housemates who take collective responsibility for keeping the home comfortable and looked after. Basically, good hygiene, mutual respect, clear communication and a bit of give and take are non-negotiable!

I’m a laidback, self-confessed nerd and ambivert. In my spare time, I like to doom scroll for 5 hours a day, learn new things, go out for drinks and dinners, watch the occasional K-drama or anime, and stare at my bedroom ceiling questioning my life choices 😜 I’d love to get active again and go to a nearby gym for classes and workouts — if anyone would be interested in building a revenge bod and looksmaxxing with me, holla! 😂

Bonus points if you have a strict indoor-slippers/outdoor-slippers policy. You know who you are. 😶‍🌫️

I’m flexible with my move-in date and have my current place until the end of February 2027 at the very latest. I’m looking to move with around a month’s notice, but finding the right people is more important than rushing into a place.
