Friendly 40 y/o in search of a room.

Hi,
I'm Colleen - I'm 40, and I'm on the search for a new flat share because my current landlord is looking to sell, and my current flatmate is moving in with her boyfriend.

I work in the technical production side of TV. I love my job - it's quite an adrenaline rush - so I also like to get out and enjoy what spare time I have. Most of my free time is spent meeting up with friends, trying to keep fit, exploring London, going to the theatre or music gigs, cooking and baking, and any other random activities I can find to do. I'm also trying to do more mindfulness. I'm incredibly independent so if my friends are busy I'll just take myself off somewhere, whether that be a walk along the river, or to an exhibition or something, or just do some batch cooking.

Working in TV does mean I don't work the standard M-F 9-5, and I won't ever be doing the 'WFH'! However, the earlier mornings and slightly later evenings do actually work quite well because it's a nice balance between having a catch up before/after a day at work, and getting the house to yourself for the morning/evening. That said, I'm incredibly considerate of others in the house if I am getting up early/coming home a little later, and do try to be as quiet as I can.

I'd like to think I'm all the things you would want in a good housemate - clean and tidy, friendly, considerate, can read a room, relaxed but outgoing. I'm looking for a place I can call home - somewhere that's relaxing and cosy and nice to unwind after a day in the office or out and about. I've lived in London since 2012 (minus a year living in Canada, and a year-ish during Covid).

I have a wonderful network of friends who I enjoy to meet up with but it would also be nice to find a flatmate who I can also call a friend! We lead separate lives but it's nice to perhaps meet up and enjoy the odd outing too.
