Looking for room to rent

Hi there!

I'm moving out of my current house share as live-in landlord has decided to sell the property. The house has only just gone on the market so have some flexibility with move-in date but ideally looking for something ASAP.

I currently work around Gorton so something within short commuting distance would be ideal, but open to any area of the city if the set up is right.

A bit about me - I'm 35 and work as a designer in the fashion industry. I'm originally from Scotland but moved to Manchester in 2022. I would say I'm a very friendly, sociable person who loves meeting new people but also happy to be quiet and spend time alone.

I'm looking to live with people who are tidy, mature, easy-going and respectful. I tend to get on best with other creative/artsy people and ideally would prefer an LGBT flatmate (no preference as to male or female). My ideal flatmate would be someone who is open to socialising together but also respectful of our own privacy/space. Prefer a more friendly environment - if you are looking for a glorified lodger who will stay locked up in their room then we're probably not a match! I'm in the office 5 days a week so won't be in the flat much during the week but happy to socialise at evenings and weekends.

My hobbies include anything art/design related, fashion, vintage shopping, cooking, galleries/museums, live music and spending time in nature.

Also open to hearing from landlords who are renting out one-bedroom properties as happy to live alone if the property is right.

A double room with an en-suite and some space for a desk would be ideal! My budget is around £850 including bills but open to discuss this further.
