Looking for a large room from Sept-Oct
Hey! I’m Lucie, 31, French, have been a Londoner for 7 years now (lived in Shepherds bush for 6 and Blackheath for this past year).
My landlady is now selling my flat so I'm looking for somewhere new to call home. I'd like to try SW or East this time around for a change but happy with anywhere really.
What I’m looking for:
- Spacious Double Room with storage (& spacious enough to fit a large desk)
- Houseshare with 1 or 2 people max; male or female between 25 and 40yo.
- Room can be furnished or unfurnished (I have a large desk I’d like to bring + a bed but I can sell it before moving in if needed)
- Shared Living Room + kitchen & bathroom
- Space to park my motorbike in front of the flat (ideally in the front garden or allocated parking space)
- Available from sept-oct
- Not a party house
Looking for:
I'm super tidy and would love to live with someone who's the same. I don't think you need a rota to clean up after yourself (if you notice something needs doing you just do it). That said my room is usually a bit chaotic (a big mess), but I like shared spaces to be clean and comfortable because we're adults, not because a cleaning schedule is stapled to the fridge (can you tell I'm a bit traumatised).
I'm not looking for a new best friend or someone to rely on socially as I already have a great group of friends, but it'd be lovely to get along, maybe watch some bad TV, or do the occasional thing together.
I like having my own space but equally enjoy a little chat from time to time or doing something together occasionally. I've become friends with almost everyone I've lived with over the years (which is quite a lot after almost a decade of house-sharing), but I also fully understand when someone's had a long day and just wants to switch off (& I love my downtime too).
A little bit about me:
I work full-time as a production & shipping coordinator for a jewellery company (in the office 4 days a week, Thursday is my WFH day) and I run my own small brand on the side in the evenings and occasionally at weekends.
My hobbies include swimming, long walks, yoga, going to galleries and seeing friends for food.
I go back to France every couple of months as my two sisters both have babies now, so I try to see them as much as possible. The upside is that I usually come back with a suitcase full of French snacks and treats.
I don't drink (although I'm very grateful pubs now do decent alcohol-free beers), don't smoke and don't do drugs - also love going to bed early (grandma lifestyle but I promise I'm cool). I absolutely love food and have a slightly unhealthy obsession with bread and baguettes, although I'm not a very good cook.
Timing wise:
Looking for a room from September / October onwards as my landlady hasn’t given me my notice yet, so I'm hoping to find somewhere that's the right fit rather than rushing into something.
If it sounds like we could be a good fit, please get in touch and we can get chatting.
See you soon,
Lucie
