Two double rooms are available in our home and we’re looking for the right people to come and share it with us, not just tenants but people we can genuinely get along with and enjoy having around the house.

We’re based in Gamlingay, a quiet and really lovely village in South Cambridgeshire on the Bedfordshire border. It’s a great spot if you commute, with Royston, St Neots and Biggleswade about 20 minutes away, and Cambridge, Bedford, Huntingdon and Stevenage all around half an hour.

The house is a large 4-bed and feels very spacious and relaxed. You’ll have access to a big kitchen diner, two living rooms (one shared with just one other lodger and another that’s often free when we’re out), two bathrooms, a large utility room, plus plenty of storage in the loft and garage. Parking is secure and covered by CCTV, and there’s even electric car charging if you need it.

Everything is included in the rent - bills, linen, and general household bits - so it’s easy living with no hassle or hidden extras. Just provide laundry bits and food.

You’d be living with us, a married couple who are both professionals. I’m Alice, a paramedic and travel agent, working mostly nights and long shifts. I’m into reformer Pilates, gym sessions, long walks and socialising, and I’m always up for a good takeaway now and again but otherwise love cooking at home. Rakeem works as an HGV driver, Monday to Friday nights. He’s a big Arsenal fan, into football, gym, cooking proper meals and getting out and about whenever he can.

We’re both pretty relaxed and easygoing, and we really respect personal space as much as we enjoy a bit of chat and company. Most of the time we’re working or out, so the house is calm and quiet and you’ll often have it to yourselves. We want people who feel the same – independent, respectful, but also friendly and up for the occasional chat in the kitchen or shared meal.

The rooms are around £1000 per month each including all bills, but we’re flexible for the right fit, especially if both rooms are taken together. The rooms are available now and we’re looking for long-term housemates rather than short stays.
