Two rooms in Ashley Down House near Gloucester Rd

Room B

Hi! We’re looking for 2 flatmates to join us in our home in Ashley Down.

One room (room A in pics) is available indefinitely but one (room B) is available for just 8 months whilst 1 housemate (me) goes on a sabbatical (Oct-May). This isn’t negotiable unfortunately so I hope this works for you.

If you’re interested in just 1 we’d be happy for you to view or if you’re two friends looking to move in together that’d be great too.

We’re 4 guys, Alex (me), Cam, Henry and Matt. We’ve had this house for 4 years (with changes of housemates a few times across this period).

We’ll be looking to do viewings from the 24th August to the 4th of September.

The house is a three story newbuild in a really nice neighbourhood near the cricket club in Ashley Down. Really close to the Lazy Dog pub (our local) and Ashley Down station. It’s a 5 minute walk to the Gloucester Rd. There’s a 70 Bus stop basically on the doorstep.

We have a nice garden, the living room is big but still cozy, with space for laundry drying and we have a sunny nook with a desk. The kitchen is on the small side, but is nice to hang out in whilst we eat and cook.

We also have a lovely garden where we are growing lots of fruit and vegetables, namely tomatoes but some squash are currently ripening. There’s a large table and chairs out there so it’s a great spot for a house meal.

Room A is on the ground floor and is spacious with room for a desk along with the current furnishings of a double bed and wardrobe. There is a downstairs toilet just outside the room.

Room B is on the middle floor and has a double bed and a large built in wardrobe. The big bathroom is across the hall with easy access.

Cam works in a local pub, Henry works as a TA in a local school, Matt is an engineer, and Alex (who’s away for 8 months) works for a local equalities charity. So a range of professions.

We like eating together and watching movies, or we go to the pub or to the park for some spikeball or a kick around.

It’s very much a home, and we’d like a housemate who wants to hang out. Is pretty clean, and will stick to our cleaning rota (you clean communal spaces once every 5 weeks). No students sorry. We are pretty chill in the week, and usually do something as a house on the weekends.

Rent is 620 for A and 630 for B. Bills (incl. council tax, wifi and utilities) are around £100/month.

The rooms come furnished.
