’m looking for someone to take a bright double room in my flat just off Gloucester Road, available from 15 May.

It’s a light, peaceful space and the flat has a calm feel to it — ideal for someone who enjoys having their own space, but is also easy to live alongside.

The room is a small double with plenty of natural light. It’s partly furnished with a bed, bedside tables, chest of drawers and a desk (happy to adjust slightly if needed).

The flat is a first floor in a two flat house. The bathroom is right next to the room and is mainly for your use (bath and shower) in the morning and evenings. I have a cleaner every couple of weeks for the shared areas, and the flat overall is quiet, tidy and easy to keep on top of.

It is located just off Gloucester Road — so everything is close by (cafés, shops, buses).
Good transport links to the centre (70, 73, 75, 76, 77 and Ashley Down station).
Good green spaces close by. St Andrew’s Park, Horfield Common and Purdown are all within easy reach.

A bit about the set-up
This is more of a relaxed, parallel living kind of home rather than a social house — though I do value being friendly and comfortable around each other. I’m ideally looking for someone who is considerate, independent and has their own rhythm (professional or mature postgraduate tends to work well here).

£800/month including bills (plus the additional 25% difference from sole occupancy to double occupancy of council tax)

No pets and small gatherings prior discussion.
