Hello :)
The house I'm told is lovely, spacious, light and airy. The double bedroom for rent has a fireplace and shutters so has a cosy feel. It has a king size bed (and writing desk if you want it). There's a garden and a balcony - which has awesome views of Bristol and you can see the suspension Bridge.
This is perfect if you're relocating for a new job, waiting to buy a place, starting a PhD /placement in Bristol or based in the city temporily. It's a calm friendly base while you get your bearings - ideally between 3 to 6 months, but open to chat about this.
Essentials:
I have a dishwasher, large fridge, and a separate freezer. The bills INCLUDE a cleaner coming round once a week, cleaning the communal areas.
The bathroom is opposite (not next to) your potential room. It has a bath, shower, loo, sink and is shared. In addition there is another loo and sink downstairs too.
About me:
I often stay at my boyfriend's house, which is just down the road, so it will only feel like there is you and one other living in the house most of the time.
My housemate, is from Hong Kong and has lived with me for about four years. She's lovely, tidy and very respectful and it would be great if we can find a like minded housemate. She's very active, and likes the outdoors, running and meeting up with friends. She works in the Finance sector. About me, I like the outdoors, going surfing and catching up with friends. I'm lucky as my family live in Bristol and I have lovely friends of all ages. I'm in my 40s.
Parking /transport links:
There's free parking along the road. We are outside the Ulez.
Bedminster Train Station is a 5 minute walk. It’s 7 min walk to Dalby Avenue, the bus stop which takes you direct to the airport departure entrance - which takes as little as 20 mins on the bus.
The area:
I like living here as it's not far to get to the Harbourside (Wapping Wharf) and North Street. It's very close to Victoria Park, Windmill Hill City Farm (goats, piglets, bunnies), Boona Boona and Bristol Loaf for a good coffee. The nearest decent pubs are The Rising Sun on Alfred Road The Victoria on Raymond Road and the Local on North Street.
Final things: If we decide to go ahead, as standard, I just do the quick reference checks that Spareroom recommends via their partner company Vorensys. Nothing heavy - just what they suggest for peace of mind for both of us. It takes about 48 hours.
