I’ve lived in the house for the last 3 years, but as I’m relocating to a different city, I’ll very sadly be leaving Bristol and looking for someone to replace me when I move.
The house is beautiful with a large kitchen, living room and garden (that gets tons of light in the summer!), and in a great location in Bedminster. I’ve written out more detailed information about everything below.
I have listed the room as unfurnished, but there is potential for me to leave behind some furniture dependent on my new place. If you’d still prefer the room unfurnished, that’s fine, I can remove the furniture before you move in.
Moving Dates:
You’ll be able to move into the room after 6th July. Ideally, you’re someone who is looking to move into the room in early July, but I’m open to options either side.
Due to the Renters Rights Act 2026, you’ll be on a rolling tenancy from then on. That said, myself and my flatmates have been long-term tenants, and the owners of the house are pretty relaxed, so there’s longevity here if you want it.
About the Room:
The room is a small double room. Although I’ve fit a double bed, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a bookshelf and other furniture in there quite comfortably. There is also additional storage space in the hallway and downstairs in the spare room if you need it.
About the House:
It’s a great 2 story terraced house, with a full bathroom & toilet upstairs, a toilet downstairs, 3 bedrooms, a large living room, a large kitchen and a storage/spare room. There’s a desk in the spare room which I’ve used to work from home in the past.
Most importantly, there is also a garden! The garden gets great light in the summer, and there is a patio bit that is covered as soon as you step out from the kitchen, which is great to dry clothes under even if it’s raining.
The upstairs bathroom has a bath and a shower with really good water pressure.
Bills are variable, but the house stays quite warm by itself through the winter so I’ve never noticed a huge difference between the seasons.
We do use Virgin for the internet, which means that you can get a bunch of channels on the TV too. There’s also Netflix and Disney+.
The Council Tax band is: C
There is on street permitted parking available. I’ve never had any trouble finding parking on the road.
About Your Flatmates:
You’ll be living with 2 guys, 1 in recruitment and the other in design. Both are chill to live with and super friendly. They should both be available when you come to see the house, so you’ll get to meet them before moving in!
About the Location:
The location is one of the best things about the house. Bedminster ASDA is just across the road, as is the top end of East Street. The start of North Street is a 5 minute walk away, and you can walk down to the Tobacco Factory in about 20 mins. Wapping Wharf and the Harbourside are within a 5-10 minute walk.
There are a ton of great pubs, cafes, bars and restaurants nearby along North Street, East Street and Wapping Wharf. The Coronation and the Dame are great, cheap, pubs and literally within a 5 minute walking distance from your doorstep. There’s also a pottery shop, a couple of co-working spaces, yoga studios and some cute book and homeware shops within walking distance. Luxe Gym is also right by the ASDA.
You can get to Bedminster Train Station in 10 minutes, the Airport Flyer is right by the ASDA, and Temple Meads is only a 25 min walk away. There’s loads of good bus routes right across Bristol. Even without a car I’ve found it super easy to get around Bristol from here.
