I'm looking for a friendly housemate to join me in a lovely 3-bedroom house in BS7, just a short walk from Gloucester Road.

The room is a furnished double with your own private bathroom (not en-suite, but for your use), and the house has plenty of space, so it feels much more like a home than a typical house share.

The house

Furnished double bedroom

Your own private bathroom

Large kitchen and dining area

Separate living room

Decent-sized garden – great for BBQs and drinks when Bristol gives us some sunshine!

Additional downstairs WC

Free, unrestricted on-street parking outside and on surrounding roads

Cleaner every two weeks

Close to Gloucester Road, with loads of pubs, cafés, shops and gyms nearby

Regular buses into Bristol city centre

Costs & availability

Rent is £1,020 per month, all-inclusive – this includes all household bills, council tax and the fortnightly cleaner, so there are no additional monthly household costs to worry about.

Deposit: £1020
Available from: 6 November
Minimum stay: 6 months

A bit about me

I'm 30 and work as a Project Manager in Construction, predominantly working from home.

I'm pretty sociable and would ideally like to live with someone I can actually get to know rather than just occasionally nod at in the hallway!

Outside work I'm usually at the gym, playing golf when I can, running, heading to the cinema or being persuaded into a couple of pints at the pub. I also enjoy cooking.

I'm quite independent day-to-day and generally sort my own meals, but I'm definitely up for the occasional shared dinner, drink or trip to the pub. I occasionally have friends stay in the spare room, usually no more than around once a month, and you'd be welcome to have the same.

I like the house to feel lived-in but well looked after. I'm big on keeping the communal areas tidy. There's no expectation of perfection, just being considerate and cleaning up after ourselves.

Who I'm looking for

Ideally, another working professional, probably someone in their 20s or 30s. Male or female – I'm much more interested in finding the right personality.

I'd love to find someone who's sociable and wants a friend they live with, rather than us being two strangers renting rooms in the same house.

Someone who enjoys the occasional pub trip, meal or chat in the kitchen would fit in well, while still being happy doing their own thing.

The main things for me are that you're respectful of the house, clean and considerate. This isn't a heavy party house, although I'm certainly not against having a few drinks or friends over.

Working professionals only and unfortunately no couples.

If it sounds like we might be a good fit, drop me a message telling me a little about yourself, what you do for work and what you're looking for in a house share. 🙂
