The room is available from 1st May 2025 onwards. 12 month contract, good landlord and no rent increases since I moved in nearly 3 years ago.

The rent is £750/pcm.
Bills come to about £250pcm currently but they are *not* included in the rent.
Council Tax is Band D which is the largest chunk of the bills. You can request for a parking permit from the council.

The large 2 bedroom flat was refurbished recently to a very high standard. It has a shared kitchen, large shared living room along with a sky light hallway and one shared bathroom. There is plenty of storage throughout and space to leave a bike in the downstairs entry way. There's a communal small green within the square and 2 mins walk from The Downs.

It is unfurnished (white goods included) and I already have some furniture which will stay in the shared spaces. Your bedroom would be completely unfurnished as my flatmate is taking all her furniture with her.

I'm a 28 year old female who moved here from Hertfordshire about 3 years ago. I work hybrid on campus, and spend my evenings swimming, playing tag, reading or socialising. My current housemate is sadly moving out to live within their partner.

The flat is large for 2 people but I am looking for someone who is willing to socialise within it. It's important for me that the person moving in is the right fit so, will be arranging viewings before making my decision. I want us both to feel comfortable around each other in the space and want whoever moves in to make the space theirs too!

I work as a lecturer nearby and therefore I will not be allowing viewings from any current students - sorry. It also not suitable for couples.
This space is also not suitable for anyone who smokes or is looking for a lively household. I'm looking for someone who does not work from home permanently.
