We are a mixed group of professionals, who live in this beautiful 12 bedroom Victorian town house, with 2 additional basement flats. Over the years we have developed a more community style of living which we really enjoy and currently have a room free for a new housemate within the age range 35 to 60 years.

The Community:
We are a group of 8 adults, 2 part-time children (7 and 10yrs) and 1 house cat in the main house, from mixed backgrounds, ethnicities, and ages. We live in the house with the intention of gaining the benefits of shared living, together with the opportunity for ample personal space. Our routines are all a bit different with some being around the house more often and others coming and going much more, and like living as an extended family.

We are not heavy on rules but do meet regularly to chat through house stuff and agree together on things. We get together at times for communal meals and in-house or out-of-house events and we're looking for people who would like to be an active participant in community living as their main priority, with the added benefit of the house and location as secondary.

The House:
A large Victorian town house that has been converted from a previous nursing home. The top two floors contain the bedrooms and five bathrooms and two additional guest bedrooms (that anyone can use). The ground floor has six large communal rooms including a large kitchen, dining room, 2 lounges, a games room and a utility room. There are two more toilets on this level.

There are two 2-bedroom basement flats, self contained with separate entrances. The residents from these flats socialise with us in the main house a few times a week (e. g. communal house meals) and the gardens are open for all of us. There are currently 2 children aged 2 and 4 yrs living in one of the basement flats.

All bills are included (incl council tax) and there is superfast wifi throughout the house. We have a large grassed back garden, with Summer House and locked bike shed, and large front garden including a 'secret garden' BBQ space, with ample private parking spaces.

The Room:
A double room of about 4m x 5m. The room is currently unfurnished but could be furnished if needed. We’ve included a couple of photos of double rooms that are lived in to show the size is big enough to have a mini bedsit arrangement.

The Area:
We are situated at the end of a small quiet cul-de-sac in the heart of Cotham with great access to Cotham Hill, Kingsdown and Whiteladies Road and only a short walk into town.

If you feel this would suit you then we’d love to hear from you and let us know a bit about you, what you are looking for and what experience you have of communal living. Happy to answer any questions you may have and arrange a house tour. And sorry for various reasons we’d prefer not having people smoking on the house premises including outside spaces. Thanks for reading!
