Furnished double room, St Jude's - BS5

Hi there!

I'm looking for one tidy, considerate lodger to share my home in St Jude's, on the city-centre side of BS5.

I work in tech from home. I'm friendly and easy-going, but I value a calm, tidy house.

THE ROOM

A ground-floor double bedroom (11.25m²) with a small-double Queen size (UK) double bed (4ft).

It comes fully furnished with a new open wardrobe, new bedside table, new mattress, desk and chair. If you need anything else for the room, just ask.

WHAT'S INCLUDED - £625 PER MONTH

All bills are included: gas, electricity, water, Wi-Fi and Council Tax (Band 'A')

You'll share the kitchen and bathroom, plus the living room, garden and washing machine.

THE HOUSEHOLD

It's just me, in a two-bedroom house. As I'm home most of the time, the house is quiet during the day. I keep it clean and tidy, and I'm looking for someone who'll do the same.

WHO I'M LOOKING FOR

- Tidy, and cleans up after themselves: dishes (sorry, no dishwasher), kitchen, bathroom and communal areas.

- Respectful: of the home, of each other's privacy

- Non-smoker

- One person only (not suitable for couples)

GOOD TO KNOW

A few house notes up front, so there are no surprises:

- Working from home is fine, as long as you work from your room. The shared living spaces are for relaxing, not an office.

- No extra furniture, please. Everything the room needs is provided, so I'd ask you not to bring or buy any furniture for it. If something's missing, just ask.

- Please keep your belongings in your room. Apart from everyday things like your food in the kitchen and a bike, there's no storage elsewhere in the house. This keeps the shared spaces clear and relaxing for both of us.

- I don't drive, so no parking permit comes with the room. If you have a car, you'll need to buy a residents' permit from Bristol City Council (£169 I think).

LOCATION

- Easton Leisure Centre (gym and 25m pool) is a couple of minutes' walk away, with local shops on the doorstep.

- About 10 minutes' walk to Old Market and 15 minutes to Cabot Circus.

- Lawrence Hill and Stapleton Road stations are both about 15 minutes' walk away. Temple Meads is about 25 minutes on foot or under 10 by bike.

- The Bristol & Bath Railway Path is about 10 minutes' walk away.

TERMS

- Rent: £625 per month, all bills included
- Deposit: £300
- Minimum stay 3 months, then monthly rolling with one month's notice, on a written lodger agreement

- Available from Saturday 24th October 2026
