> What's Available:
FROM December 2024
I have a double room available for 1 x clean/ tidy/ conscientious person. I mostly do short lets.
The double room is furnished with a clothes rail double bed, chest of drawers, desk & chair.
The bathroom is shared with 2 people (landlord & 1 other tenant).
The house has a large kitchen, living room, south-facing garden, garage and bike rack. The kitchen has a new washing machine & large fridge freezer. New worktops and a swanky sink!
During the week I expect/respect quiet hours between 10pm - 8am. 11pm - 10 am on the weekends.
The garden is super sunny and has a washing line, pond, flowers and a real sanctuary. It's lined beautifully with a view of some trees at the bottom of the garden (no houses) which adds to the green space.
There is unrestricted parking on the street.
Bills included: TV licence, council tax, water, electricity, broadband, and gas. Everything else that's shared in the house will be put on a bill sharing app (anything used communally in the kitchen/ bathroom etc).
> The Person / We Are:
To keep the numbers in the house low, the room is for a single person only. Preferably a professional person, non-smoker, who's in to health & wellbeing, emotionally mature, a good communicator, laid back, very clean & tidy and quiet. Otherwise a mature student who is focused on their studies.
We need someone conscientious, quiet (this is a must because sound travels in the house very easily), very clean and tidy. It makes it really enjoyable living communally when there are no cleaning worries and when we're respectful of each other, the communal spaces and that our lifestyles coincide.
Landlord: I am a professional person currently working in the office 4 days a week. I am not a vegetarian but limit the amount of meat I eat.
Home is an R&R area and quiet sanctuary for me. I love sports, I drink once in a blue moon so I can enjoy my weekends running/ cycling etc. When I'm not out and about I need & love quiet times at home, watching movies in the living room or reading, hanging out in the garden, eating and relaxing. I don't really have parties at home though would like to have more dinner parties in the winter! I really value my space and quiet times. This is a must around bed time as the house is a 1930's house where sound travels very easily, especially noise up to my bedroom.
The other tenant: Professional who works mostly in the office, and occasionally from home.
> The Area:
We live on a cul-de-sac, suburban road and are very fortunate to have no houses/ properties at the bottom of the garden, only trees! It doesn't feel like you're in the city at all and provides quietness.
5-10 minute walk from St Werburghs where there are independent greengrocers/ shops/ restaurants/ pubs. Otherwise, Tesco, Lidl, Ikea & Eastville Retail Park (with Boots, Halfords, M&S and PureGym) are a stone's throw away. There's a monthly Flea Market under the M32 on the last weekend of the month.
Frequent buses to the City Centre/ Stokes Croft.
There are scooters pick up/ drop off areas close by.
Very close to beautiful walking spots such as Eastville Park + Purdown, Snuff Mills.
Very quick and easy access to the M32/ Easton.
