1 double room in shared house near Eastville Park

The Room :)

Hi!

We're Chay, Becca and Daisy and we are looking for someone to move into our house in Eastville at the start of September.

The house itself has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and has just been refurbished so it has a very modern and tasteful feel. The kitchen and living room are open plan and spacious - perfect if you like cooking! Also has a dishwasher and drinks fridge. There is also room to store a bike inside if you own one. The bathroom is also well finished, there is both a shower and bath. There is also a downstairs toilet which is useful when someone wants to have a bath!

The available room is a decent sized double on the ground floor which catches the morning sun. It can come either unfurnished or with an option to buy our previous housemates bed, 2 wardrobes and drawers for £100. Monthly rent not inc. bills is £570.

Bills come to ~£95 pm each. Electric and Gas are on a meter, and costs ~£30pm each on average (but cheaper in summer and more expensive in winter). Water is £17 a month each (depends on usage) broadband is £7.50 a month and council tax is band A so £41 each pm.

The house is located just off of Fishponds road, and is a 2 min walk to Eastville park and a 2 min cycle to the Bristol-Bath cycle path so it’s really easy to get into town by bike. There are also bus stops nearby on Fishponds road. The house is on a dead end street so there is no through traffic and is quiet. There is generally space to park if you have a car (the housemate that is leaving is taking her car so there should be space on our street!)

We have a cleaning schedule in the house, and we also wash up our stuff after cooking so it would be good to have somebody respectful & clean that doesn't let dirty stuff pile up and keeps shared spaces tidy! We also use splitwise for bills and bits and pieces for the house so they get split equally.

About Us
You’ll be living with Chay (30M), Becca (28F) and Daisy (30F). We are all professionals, each working for the civil service, sustainability consultancy and a homeless shelter charity. We enjoy a relaxed, drama-free home where everyone is respectful of each other’s space but also up for a chat. Keeping the shared areas tidy is important to us, and we appreciate open communication.
Our interests include cycling, bikepacking, climbing, being outdoors and active, camping, cooking & food, music, gardening and festivals.

About you
We’re after somebody who is a similar age to us, easygoing, friendly and chill who likes to hangout but can also respect others' space when needed and who is used to living in shared accommodation. This is not a party house so if you go out every weekend and get back late disturbing people this place isn't for you! That’s not to say we don’t enjoy the occasional drink, BBQ or night out. Ideally you will be working on a 9-5 schedule so that ours don’t clash too much.
