2 Double Rooms in Communal Home in Fishponds

Hello! I’m Arif. I live in a 3 bed house near Lodge Causeway in Fishponds. Situated within a 2 minute walk of local shops and on the number 6 bus route. It is also worth noting the close proximity of Coombe Brook Nature Reserve and convenient access to the M32 by car and Cycle Path by bike.

One room available now and one coming up in a few weeks. I’m much more interested in creating a lovely home as opposed to sterile, anonymous Bristol HMO vibe.

I want the house to feel lived in, cared for and sociable for everyone: somewhere people talk, occasionally eat together, and give a shit about the space. I’m looking for people who want the same thing as me, not just a room, but a home.

People who’ll take a bit of pride in it, and understand that things don’t magically sort themselves out…Not in some weird formal way, just in the sense of sharing responsibility, pulling our weight, and wanting the place to stay nice as a bit of a departure from the more individualist way that these things often go.

For my part, I’ve put a lot of effort into creating the physical space fort this: The house is clean, warm, colourful, and well set up. There’s good lighting, home automation, underfloor heating, decent kitchen appliances, a living room with actual character and a kitty for all of the annoying stuff, including a cleaner. Still improving as time and money allows and that will continue as money and time allows.

Not looking for instant best mates (I have plenty of those) just good people who like the idea of living somewhere with a bit more warmth, care and connection. I like to think that it’s possible to do that with people who aren’t partners or relatives.
