I'm looking for a like-minded person to share my home in Fishponds, near Oldbury Court.

The room is a large double downstairs reception room. I'd like to keep the bed and mattress in the room, and the few other bits of furniture will be removed over the next few days.

The downstairs is a shared space, including the kitchen and living area, with a bathroom just off the kitchen. There's also a big garden with lots of potential, which I'm looking forward to putting some love into.

I've recently moved into this rented property with my two children (aged 4 and 9) and our little dog, Kobe. I'm hoping to make this a long-term home for us and would like to find someone who enjoys being part of a friendly, relaxed household.

I'd like the lodger to feel comfortable using the communal spaces freely and making themselves at home. It would be nice to occasionally have a cup of tea together, share a meal or do a bit of gardening, while also respecting each other's space and privacy. I like to keep the communal spaces clean and tidy.

I'm open to both short- and long-term arrangements, although someone looking for a longer-term home would be ideal.

A little about me: I'm a seamstress and work from home some of the time. My children are out of the house three days a week and also spend some nights with their dad.

I enjoy cooking, gardening, making a home feel nice and generally being creative. I care about environmental and humanitarian issues, and value kindness, honesty and good communication.

I'm looking for someone who is considerate, friendly and easy-going, who would enjoy sharing a family home.

The rent is £625 per month plus a share of the bills, and the room is available immediately.
