Huge room for rent in iconic harbour family house

We are looking for a new lodger for the huge room available on the top floor of our home. The room is 6.5m x 4m and has panoramic views of Bristol harbour, including Bristol Cathedral and St Mary) Redcliffe. The room is available immediately (from August 2026.

We are open to additional dogs (we're mildly allergic, so non-shedding breeds preferred) but cannot accept cats as our greyhound has a high prey drive. We've never met a dog that our dog couldn't tolerate though :-)

Rent includes all bills.

The room will contain:

1. King size bed and very comfortable mattress
2. Wardrobe
3. Side board/chest of drawers
4. antique Marble dressing table
4. Additional kallax storage
5. Lamp
6. TV

The home - it is a family home with 7 bedrooms over 5 floors.

There are 4 of us - 2 parents and 2 children (age 4 and 7) as well as our greyhound, ZZ. ZZ is a large dog, but is the gentlest soul. He never jumps up at you and is very old, so mostly sleeps all day... We have had lodgers for almost 20 years and many remain close friends. We also have another lodger who lives on the same floor.

You are welcome to use our very large kitchen, and will have access to a separate fridge and cupboard. You can help yourself to our plates/saucepans etc. There is a huge garden and also a double garage at the rear of the house.

We would prefer a female lodger. Please note that we will require character references and will need to meet you in person before accepting you as a lodger. We are also very happy to provide references.

We are a liberal Christian family but welcome people from all faiths and none, and we are fully LGBTQIA+ affirming.
