The flat: right in the centre, between the Centre and Harbourside, with the m1 metrobus close by and Cabot Circus and Temple Meads about 15 minutes’ walk away. Open-plan kitchen and living room, a balcony, two bathrooms (the second one would be yours to use) and an allocated parking space. Furnished, with white goods. EPC C, council tax band D.

The room: furnished double, £900 a month plus bills (energy, broadband and council tax, split fairly). Deposit about £1,038, protected in a government scheme. Move-in from late October, once the agent has referenced us both through HomeLet.
