Looking for a friendly human

I’ve recently got my first home and I’m looking for someone lovely to share it with.

The house is very much lived in already, but it’s still slowly becoming the home I ( we d ) imagine it to be. The long-term goal is plenty of coffees in the sun, shared dinners, BBQs and the occasional house parties.

About me

I’m a doctor working between BRI and Southmead.

Outside work I’m usually collecting hobbies. Backpacking, hiking, diving, swimming, running, saunas, meditation, gymming, gigs, raves … and currently a mild obsession with dancing (ecstatic, contact improv, contemporary,). Festivals are a definite happy place (like Shambala, Burning Nest, Budhafield and Medicine this year). Have also Couchsurfed a fair bit around the world.

I’m vegetarian and cook a fair bit, so expect frequent attempts to feed whoever happens to be home.

The kind of home I’d love this to be :

We’ll all have our own lives, but it’d be lovely if you were someone who’d naturally fit into my friendship group. And spontaneous “shall we go?” I also love the idea of learning from the people I live with.

One thing I’m really excited about is continuing to make this place feel like home. There are still bits to decorate, and I’d genuinely love someone who’d enjoy putting their own stamp on the place too. If you have ideas, plants, pictures, fairy lights or a weird but wonderful chair fantastic.

Your friends, family, partners and lovers are all obv welcome and to stay, I’d just ask for the usual respect, communication and consideration for each other’s space. The room is for one independent human rather than a couple. I also love hosting people
I’m not military-level tidy, but I do like keeping the shared spaces clean and pleasant to be in especially for the guests to be not in shock.

One final thing: I’m in no rush to fill the room. I’d much rather find someone who’s a great fit than simply fill it quickly. I’ll probably leave the advert up for a few days, then go through all the messages together and get back to people after that.
