Lovely room in a friendly home

Hello,

Our wonderful housemate is moving to London, so we have a room available to rent in our lovely home not far from Gloucester Road.

We’re Alex, Lizzie, Sarah and Jake, and we’re looking for someone fun and friendly to move in! We’re all working professionals in various disciplines, and all quite creative. Alex works in sustainability and is into gardening, pottery and wild-swimming. Lizzie works in film and is into surfing, travel and live music. Jake works in publishing and is into climbing, the outdoors and going out for wine/coffee. Sarah works as a civil servant and has also recently moved in, so is up for exploring what Bristol has to offer. We’re all pretty chill during the week and out and about on weekends but like to hang out with a glass of wine in the evenings or go to the pub every now and then.

The house is a big Edwardian terrace with high ceilings and big bright windows, and some fun original features like stained glass. We treat the house as a real home and all muck in to look after communal areas and keep it tidy. The house has a lovely big living room, kitchen, and a decent sunny back garden (great for summer!) It’s an easy walk to the downs as well as being close to Gloucester Road. We’re lucky enough to have a great landlady who lives nearby and is on hand to solve any issues (but never comes around unannounced...) We don’t have any pets but there are a few cats in the neighbourhood that come to say hello from time to time :).

The room is on the top floor with a lovely landing area which we have turned into little reading nook. There are two flights of stairs to get to the room so it's not the most accessible, sorry. It comes with furniture. There are two bathrooms and a utility room, with bike storage too. On street parking outside is fine with a permit, or free just the next street over. There’s an office room available that is shared between the two top floor rooms as well.

Our housemate is hoping to move out soon, so we and are looking for someone to take over the room from 25 November. So please get in touch, we’d love to hear about you! The agency does require references and a basic credit check. Bills are about £118 per month so all in its about £698
