Double room in Southville

Hiya!!

We are Sarah and Rachel, and we’re looking for someone to fill a room when our current housemate moves out. We’ve lived in this house since Nov 24 and we bloody love it here!

☀️ essential info
- room available from 11th August
- Kingston Road (BS3 )
- Rent £667
- You’ll be locked into the contract for 6 months, after which it switches to rolling
- Bills come to £100-150 depending on time of year (including council tax)
- Room comes unfurnished but our current housemate is considering leaving the bed here.
- Rest of the house is furnished with our stuff, but some of it is our housemate’s so we’ll need you to chip in to replace the bits he’s taking with him.
- Our landlord is very chill, and the letting agency has dealt with issues quickly in the past.

- On a delightfully quiet road where the loudest noise is often the birds nesting in the trees in our garden
- Victorian terrace with no inherent issues
- 5 min walk to the harbourside and north street
- 1 min walk to the Coronation, a fantastic and very cheap pub
- Garden catches the sun from midday til sunset
- Spacious south facing living room
- Big kitchen with space to store bikes
- 1.5 bathrooms
- Upstairs spare room which we currently use as an office / laundry room
- Plenty of under stair storage which you could use

☀️ about us
- we met at uni in Sheffield and have been mates for nearly 7 years! We’re very different but get along immensely well and have a great dynamic together in the house.
- My main things are climbing and music. Nothing gets me going quite like a new set at the climbing wall and a dirty bassline. My vinyl collection is my pride and joy, I love mixing, and spend most weekends at raves and/or the plough. I also love reading epic fantasy, saunas & wild swimming, cycling, cooking, and sewing. I work in the environmental sector and work from home 4 days a week.
- Rachel is big on the outdoors, especially chilling on the harbourside in the sun. Loves a good natter at the pub with a cider as well as going to gigs, doing arty bits and the occasional boogie. Does lots of hockey throughout the winter and has (regretfully) entered her running era having done the half marathon earlier this year. Rachel works in marketing/science comms and generally works at the office every day bar the odd Friday if she’s feeling an early weekend.
- Our favourite things to do together are going to obscure shows and events, walking around the harbourside, going to the pub, doing crafty / arty bits in the garden, and having a gossip over breakfast

☀️ about you
Ideally, we are looking for someone who is:
- A woman between 25-33
- Clean, tidy, and considerate of common areas
- Fun, sociable, and keen to put effort into our house dynamic and get stuck into activities together. If you’re someone who generally prefers to keep to themselves or who spends a lot of time at their partner’s place or in front of the telly - this isn’t the house for you
- Since I work from home 4 days a week in the living room, ideally we want someone who works from home a maximum of twice a week. If you wfh you can use the upstairs office, but you must be okay with me playing records in the living room during the day. (Don’t worry - I don’t play music at unsociable hours, I’m usually in bed by 9 lol)
- We are open to living with a guy but would ideally have a gal. It’s all about the vibe ! 💃🏼
