The Room & Facilities

Looking for a clean, respectful professional wanting an ensuite bedroom. The room has been recently updated and features:
• En-suite access: The WC has been converted into a private en-suite shower room.
• Brand new furniture: Includes a high-quality bed, premium orthopaedic mattress, and mattress protector.
• Storage & Customisation: Features a single built-in wardrobe with internal shelving. I am very happy to purchase and add an extra wardrobe, a chest of drawers, a long mirror, and window blinds if you need them.
• Privacy: There is a lock on the door, the room is surrounded by outside walls and the stairs divide the bedroom. Only the loud and dining room is attached to next door.
• Please note: You will just need to bring your own personal bedding (duvet/pillows) and towels.

Your Own Dedicated Kitchen Space

To make sharing as seamless and independent as possible, I provide you with your own dedicated amenities.
• Exclusively yours: Your own fridge with 1 freezer drawer, 4 cupboards, 1 drawer, and a heated clothes airer. You will also have your own set of pots, pans, colander, chopping boards, cutlery, and utensils.
• Shared appliances: Access to the cooker/hob, microwave, kettle, iron, and ironing board, washing machine, plus 1 extra drawer in the main freezer.
• Please note: You will just need to bring your own crockery, glasses, and mugs.

About Me & The Area

I am a working professional who largely works from home. I don't drink, and my routine involves meal-prepping on weekends, life admin, and relaxing. Outside of the house, I love hiking, lake walks, spa days, comedy clubs, and eating out. I need to start adding live music. I could be swayed if the dining room would make a better gym or you need a gym buddy! I have a long pause on netball due to injury. I have successfully rented out my spare room for years to lovely considerate people - it's how I met my hairdresser! At the moment I have a busy period of personal admin that should settle in early 2027! The house is located in a very peaceful area with plenty of parking and a 30-minute walk to the station. The street is lovely and quiet, though the neighbours do host a nice, casual outdoor get-together for the Christmas lights switch-on. This will be my first year joining them with a hot drink!

The Ideal Housemate (The Non-negotiables)

This home has to remain a quiet, peaceful escape and I am looking for someone who shares the same values:
• High cleanliness standards: We both strictly leave shared spaces exactly as we find them. Not needing prompting to clean after themselves, remove washing, take the bin out if you fill it and so on.
• True consideration: A housemate who respects the quiet environment. This means treating the other person being in their room as if they are asleep (no loud devices or knocking).
• Logistics: Single occupancy only. No smokers (asthma trigger). Not suitable for students.
