Quiet, double room, Prestwood

Comfortable furnished room available in a quiet, friendly home. The room would be ideal for someone who works locally during the week and wants a comfortable base away from their main home, such as a commuter or someone with a regular Monday–Friday working pattern. I previously had an HS2 worker staying with me, which worked really well.

The room is available for weekday and weekend stays, so you are welcome to stay at weekends too. The arrangement is intended to provide a comfortable base rather than a traditional full-time house-share.

There are shared facilities including the bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen can be used briefly and considerately for preparing meals and drinks. The living room is not part of the room rental and is not available for use, so the arrangement is more about having your own private space and using the house facilities as needed rather than sharing communal living areas.

The idea is that you have your own comfortable space and can come and go independently, while treating the house as a peaceful home.

I'm looking for someone who is clean, considerate, respectful and fairly independent, and who values a quiet home environment.

If useful, I'm also happy to provide a small fridge and kettle in the room, giving you the option to keep a few things there and make the room particularly convenient for yourself.

A few important points so that the arrangement is clear from the outset:

Working from home isn't permitted — the room is intended as accommodation for someone working away from home rather than as a home-working space.

No guests or overnight visitors, please.

Kitchen facilities can be used briefly and considerately.

The living room is not included in the rental.

The room is for your own use and is not intended as a traditional house-share with lots of communal living.

There is also a parking space opposite the house.

I just wanted to be upfront about the sort of arrangement I'm looking for, as I think it's important that it works well for both of us. If you're looking for a peaceful, comfortable and independent base during the week (and weekends if needed), this could be a really good fit. 🙂
