Self contained Shepherds hut in Chiltern village

Something a bit different. Your own self-contained shepherds hut in the heart of the Chilterns countryside.

The hut is situated in the rear garden of the owner’s cottage, in Radnage. Radnage is a lovely Chilterns village, with a country pub, school, church, village hall and warm community. Perfect for cycling, walking and horse-riding. It is peaceful, yet 5 minutes from the M40. You would need to have your own transport.

The cottage itself is situated down a quiet country lane, on a no through road. The hut is situated at the rear, so this really is a peaceful location.

The hut is recently constructed and is 16-foot x 8 foot. It has its own ensuite with shower, washbasin and toilet. It has a small kitchenette with sink, 2 ring induction hob and fridge freezer. There is a sofa bed that converts very easily between sofa and bed, with ample storage for bedlinen. There is a fold down oak table. There is plenty of storage in the form of cupboards and shelves.

The hut is beautifully crafted with some lovely oak detailing. Oak shutters on every window, oak shelving, tongue and groove panelling painted in Farrow and ball Joa’s white. The abundance of natural materials make this a beautiful place to unwind. It is south facing, and double glazed. It is well insulated, so beautifully warm. There is however a woodburning stove for those special winter cosy nights in. There is also underfloor heating throughout, and even a heated towel rail.

There is a washing machine in the adjacent outside utility shed- that is the only thing you have to share with someone else. Access is down the side of the cottage, so you are completely self-contained. There is parking nearby on Radnage common.

You must have your own transport. The hut is non-smoking, and we are looking for a non-smoker. (That includes social smokers, vape users and some of the wider definition of non-smoking people use)

The rent is £950pcm, and the deposit is £950. The rent is inclusive of all bills (electric, oil, tv licence, broadband, council tax, water rates etc….)

This really is a special place, and we are looking for a special person. We are looking for someone who really appreciates the setting and quality of life this hut has to offer, and someone who appreciates what it would be like. Minimum stay 3 months. Someone who leaves a gentle and thoughtful footprint in life. Someone kind, considerate and gentle. The room is for single occupancy. Sorry no couples.
