Young professional for idyllic Chiltern cottage

We have a generous single room available in our peaceful cottage in Radnage, for a considerate young professional.

The room is about 9ft x 8ft, has a single divan bed, chest of drawers, built in cupboard and shelving. It is simply furnished. It has stripped pine flooring and a beam. There is plenty of storage. There are wonderful views over the surrounding countryside. It is decorated in neutral tones. There is space for a desk if you need to work from home.

There is a modern bathroom with bath and separate double shower. There is a large living room with beams, a wood burning stove, two comfortable leather sofas and wonderful views over the front garden. This leads onto a country kitchen / breakfast room with range cooker and French doors to the rear garden. The cottage is triple glazed throughout, and well insulated. Warm in winter, cool in summer.

There is a lovely long front garden, which affords the cottage seclusion. There is a sunny rear garden, with decking. There are several sheds/workshops for storage. We have a washing machine and a dishwasher. There is full oil-fired central heating, along with the wood burning stove. The main attraction of the cottage is in a peaceful setting, set well back from a quiet country lane. There is off street parking for two or three cars, and further parking on the common.

You must have your own transport. The cottage is non-smoking, and we are looking for a non-smoker. The cottage is old and not everything is perfect, or straight. We are ideally looking for someone 35 or under. Overnight guests are welcome, just not every night please. The room is for single occupancy. Sorry no couples.

Radnage is a beautiful Chilterns village, 4 miles west of High Wycombe, but with easy access to the M40. The cottage is set well back from a country lane and offers privacy and quiet. The village has a country pub, school, church, village hall and warm community. Perfect for cycling, walking and horse-riding. It is peaceful, yet 5 minutes from the M40. You would need to have your own transport.

The rent is £600pcm, and the deposit is £600. The rent is inclusive of all bills (electric, oil, tv licence, broadband, council tax, water rates etc….)

You would be sharing with Aran, 27, and also with the owner who spends part of the week away. We are looking for someone who really appreciates the setting and quality of life this cottage has to offer. Ideally, we are looking for someone long term, at least a year, who leaves a gentle and thoughtful footprint in life. Someone kind, considerate and gentle. A sense of humour is all we ask for.
