Friendly Housemate Wanted – Cosy Single Room Available for £350 pcm
Peaceful, friendly & family-oriented house share
Female housemate preferred | Available early–mid September
We’re looking for a lovely new person to join our friendly, relaxed and family-oriented home.
There are currently two adults living in the house, and we’re looking for a third housemate who would like to make this their home rather than simply somewhere to sleep.
A female housemate is preferred due to our family circumstances, as one member of the household has his 6-year-old son staying every other Friday to Sunday. During those weekends, we also ask that housemates don't have overnight guests staying at the property, so we're looking for someone who would be comfortable with this arrangement.
A little about our home
The most important thing to us is creating a home that feels happy, harmonious, comfortable and easy to live in.
We’d love to find someone who is warm, kind-hearted, open-minded, communicative and considerate; someone who is clean and tidy and values mutual respect within a shared home.
We both work during the day and generally relax in the evenings, if not away at a partner's house or out with friends. Sometimes we’ll sit together, chat and enjoy each other’s company, while at other times we’ll be doing our own thing and respecting each other’s space.
There’s absolutely no expectation to constantly socialise. We simply enjoy having a home where people are friendly with one another while still having their own independence and privacy.
The bedroom
The available bedroom is a cosy furnished single room, with a window overlooking the back garden and trees beyond.
There is a quiet railway line beyond the garden which only operates during the daytime and which we rarely notice.
The room comes furnished with:
•Single bed
•Large built-in wardrobe
•Chest of drawers
•Two wall-mounted shelves
The house
The rest of the house is fully furnished and includes:
•Comfortable shared living room
•Conservatory
•Back garden
•Bathroom with an oval bath and shower
•Washing machine
•Ample fridge space
Our landlady is friendly, helpful and easy to contact if anything in the house ever needs attention.
Bills & council tax
Water, gas, electricity and internet are divided equally between the housemates living in the property and is currently around £162 per person.
There is no council tax for tenants to pay, as our landlady covers this cost.
Who we’re looking for
More than anything, we’re looking for the right person rather than simply filling the room.
We’d love to find someone friendly, considerate and easy to communicate with, who cleans up after themselves and wants to contribute to keeping the house a pleasant and harmonious place for everyone.
We want this to remain a home where everyone can feel comfortable being themselves — somewhere we can have a chat or a laugh together when we feel like it, while everyone’s personal space, privacy and independence are equally respected.
If that sounds like the kind of home you’re looking for, we’d love to hear from you.
Please send us a little bit about yourself, what you do, what you’re looking for in a house share and when you’d ideally like to move in.
