Kingsize room for lodger in quiet house

Hi 👋

I’m Kate and I live in a 3 bed maisonette just off Newmarket road in Cambridge. Looking for a nice, tidy, super clean, friendly lodger to share my house. Ideally I want someone who is considerate and likes a chilled and quiet home. Would be better for someone who doesn’t have too much stuff and isn’t looking for people to stay over. And someone who likes to keep the kitchen and bathroom clean.

I work in London and stay at a friends house Tuesday to Thursday/Friday every week so you would mostly have the house to yourself mid week. I tend to be super busy and socialise during the week so I tend to chill at the weekends and catch up on the TV I’ve missed. Happy to hang out with a movie and a glass of wine or takeaway and a chat.

The Room
The room is a large master bedroom with Kingsize bed, two bedside tables, lamps, quadruple fitted wardrobe with hanging rails and drawers, dressing table and stool. The room has a floor to ceiling window overlooking a communal terrace garden.

The House
There is a bathroom upstairs that will be shared when I am home and a downstairs toilet. There is a large living room with a ridiculously oversized sofa and large TV perfect for quiet nights in (it is hard to resist). A good sized kitchen diner downstairs and utility cupboard with washer dryer.

There are two parking spaces available assigned to the house in a secure parking garage and a bike storage room. There are balconies, terraces and a communal garden.

House is very well equipped - cutlery, cooking stuff, coffee machine, dishwasher, air fryer, cleaning supplies, sky tv with Netflix, Disney+ & HBO Max.

Location
Property is within the Marleigh Development. It’s less than a 5 minute walk to the park & ride bus station which can get you into town in 15 minutes. If you cycle it’s about 15-20 minutes to city centre, 15 mins to Science Park, 10 mins to Cambridge North Station. Cambridge Train station is a 15 minute taxi or cycle ride.

About me
I just turned 40 but probably still living like I’m in my 20’s. I’m single, work in HR for an online fashion retailer, will be working in London during the week, I play netball, like a pub quiz, enjoy going out for a meal or glass of wine, enjoy the cinema, Taylor Swift and country music fan, big Netflix binger, K-beauty addict, spa lover, US & Canada travel, cruises. TV compatibility - most things on Netflix, true crime, property shows, a bit of reality trash, thriller/crime dramas, documentaries, comedy, rom coms.

Please note that the house will be going on sale but this will take a minimum of 3 months, estimated 6+ months to go through. There will be occasional viewings at weekends which I will host. Happy to have a short term or rolling agreement with a months notice on both sides.

Also interested in a Monday to Friday let for £750 a month.
