Double rooms in large house near Addenbrooke’s

Double rooms available from August (1-year contract) in large house 15min walk to Addenbrooke’s, 30min bus to city centre (bus stop 5min from house) on quiet road off Queen Edith’s way. Rooms 1 & 3 (ensuite) definitely available, room 2 availability depending on tenant’s placement renewal confirmation (finding out soon).

The house is spacious with modern utilities: 2 bathrooms (in addition to en-suite for room 3), 2 large sitting rooms, a big kitchen with gas hob, grill + oven, 2 large fridge-freezers, washing machine and dishwasher. There is a large driveway that can accommodate 2 cars (and space out front usually way to find), a garage for bike storage, a nice garden with patio and picnic bench, and an extra small room upstairs used for laundry/storage.

To introduce myself, I’m Aven, a research assistant at the university’s Dept. Biochemistry. I have been living in this house for a year so far and will be staying on next year but the other housemates (doctors) are moving out due to placements starting elsewhere. I am clean, tidy, and respectful, and would love for the house to continue to feel like a home for everyone in it, with housemates who are equally happy with casual friendly chatter in the kitchen and keeping a quiet peaceful environment in the house.

I consider myself nonbinary and would prefer to share with other women or nonbinary people, lgbtq+ friendly.

We have a house WhatsApp chat for general things and SplitWise for bills + council tax. Bills (WiFi, water, electricity + gas) come to around £70 pcm in addition to council tax (also approx. £70 pcm), both on top of rent so please ensure this is within your budget. It is important housemates are happy to communicate about bills and general house matters etc., and that everyone plays their part in cleaning the house and general upkeep e. g. emptying bins/dishwasher. For any house issues, the landlord is quick to respond to texts and lives nearby so has been very helpful whenever we’ve needed.
