Double bedroom with lovely housemates near Mill Rd

New housemate to join Michelle and Soph in a nice house near Mill Road.

We’re looking for a new housemate to join us in our three-storey townhouse between Mill Road and Coldham’s Common, with easy access to both. We are ten minutes from the station or the city centre by bike.

Downstairs, there’s a garage which we use for storage (plenty of room for bikes) as well as a loo and kitchen. The kitchen has everything you’d expect: double oven, microwave, dishwasher, combined washer/dryer and a dining table, with doors out to the garden.

You’ll get your own cupboard in the kitchen, plus some shared space in the cupboard under the stairs. We share some of the basics to avoid silly duplication. Out the back, the garden gets plenty of light and is a nice place to read, eat or have a drink when the weather is good.

On the first floor, there’s a large living room, with another dining table for bigger gatherings. Your bedroom is just behind it: a small double with plenty of light. The bed comes with the room, and the wardrobe and a desk can be available too.

You’ll share a bathroom with Michelle, so please be a respectful human!

We’re sociable housemates who like a cup of tea and a chat after work, or a bit of TV in the evening. This isn’t a party house, but we’d like someone who will join in a bit and make it home.

The room will be available from 24 September, although this could move forward quite flexibly.

We’ll be doing viewings on the evenings of 11 and 12 Aug, and will make a decision very soon afterwards.

Rent: £537.50 per month

Deposit: £553.50

Bills: We each pay Michelle £150 a month, which goes into a pot for bills (covers council tax, internet, gas, electricity, wifi, and water). Every so often, we either get some back or agree to use the extra to buy something for the house. It keeps things simple.

Parking: There’s a driveway and free on-street parking.
