Double room in a cosy, slightly chaotic 2 bed home

Hi! I’m Emma, I’ve got a spare double room in my house and I’m looking for a lodger/housemate to share it with me. It’ll just be the two of us, and I can be flexible on move-in date.

I’m looking for someone where we naturally fit into each other’s lives a bit rather than just politely coexist (spontaneous kitchen chats, movie nights, drinks, or occasionally going “I’m doing this thing, want to come?”) Equally, I know we’ll often have our own things going on or want to disappear into our own caves at times.

I’m pretty chill at home and would love to live with someone I can actually relax and be myself around. I’m neurodivergent, occasionally chaotic, and much prefer direct, good-humoured communication over silently getting annoyed about little household things. The house is often comfortable and lived-in rather than immaculate, and I’m a big fan of duvet-on-the-sofa and singing-in-the-kitchen behaviour.

Outside the house I’m into pole, dancing, skiing, singing, the gym, musicals, travelling, meeting new people and trying random new things with varying levels of competence - come join if you want! I’m equally happy going out and doing something out of my comfort zone or staying home watching TV/reading.

More than anything, I’m looking for someone warm, open-minded, kind and a little bit silly who wants their housemate to feel more like a friend than a person they split the WiFi bill with.

About the house:

Getting around:
- Easy cycling into central Cambridge / Mill Road / the station
- Bus stops on Birdwood Road, including the No. 2 towards Mill Road, Central Cambridge, and the Science Park/Business Park
- On-street parking if you drive (no permit needed)
- Sheltered bike storage at the house
- rental e-bikes & e-scooters parked at both ends of the road
