Hi there,

I'm moving to use my flat in Peterborough as a base and I am looking for someone to share it. You would have your own bathroom and also there is a lift in the building if anyone has trouble with stairs (it's 2nd floor). Currently unfurnished as the tenant just moved out and I am trying to find better photos. But I would really like to connect with interested people. I don't have photos of the bedrooms as the last that were sent to me were before it was repainted and recarpeted. Anyway, everything looks different with furniture inside :)

I travel a lot for work and personal reasons so there will be periods while I am there and periods when the person would have the place to themselves between a week to potentially 3 months at times. I'm from Scotland, a mature professional with a youthful outlook. I have been working overseas since 1996 with a short return between 2002 - 2004 when my mother was ill.

I am moving to the area because a company I work with is developing events in London, and because of the access to the airport for my international work.

I'm very open minded I just cannot live with highly religious people or people who play loud music or don't clean the bathroom and kitchen so as such I would require references. I don't really care about your age, I have lived with all ages and my favourite people range from 20 to 78 currently. I don't care where you are from, my friends and colleagues are from many different countries and cultural backgrounds. I've also lived and worked in 18 countries across multiple cultures. I just care whether you are personable and will take care of the place.

The situation
At the moment the tenants moved out and it is currently unfurnished and in need of set up so I will be there the week of 2 June to organise this and have deliveries etc, to make the place rentable. I will be away from 9 June and potentially not back until mid August, so it would be ideal to meet up during the week of 2 June and connect before that. If you connect with me I will arrange to chat with you over whats app or telephone.

As such I'd also be happy to find someone who wants to bring their own furniture, or who might be happy to help get set up for a reduction in rent.

The council tax is band B £1,428.56. While I am away for longer periods I will request to reduce to single person's discount but I will additionally continue to pay the difference. I am unable to consider students due to the council tax situation.

Bills I do not know as I have never lived there and am trying to find out how the property is serviced and waiting for the energy company to be in touch. My plan is to convert to Utilita and use the no standing charge option. This gives bettter management and flexiblity to the tenant. I will not include bills because I find that when bills are included people are less careful about their usage of utilities. Also if someone is working from home they will use more power than someone who is not. So we have to be realistic about this. Thanks

Currently no internet and I would put that in once I have a tenant confirmed, as I myself can work without it.

I am able to consider married couples only because of HMO regulations on 3 unrelated people living together.

The situation would also be good for someone who had shared child custody as when I am away I can make the second room available to the child.

The property is situated in the Fengate area about a mile East of the city centre. The Stagecoach Route 61 Bus stops directly right outside the flats and goes direct to To City Centre Queensgate Bus Station. The journey takes 15 to 20 minute and then a 5 min walk to the train. I'm told its a 25 min flat cycle to the train. There are a couple of cafes betwen 5 - 15 min walk away. There is a supermarket, a retail park and a green park all around 15 mins walk from the property.

There is an assigned parking space, however I was planning to use this myself. If you have a vehicle I will look for options via the management company
