Sociable group looking for a new housemate.

- - About the room - -

We are a group of friends, most of who met by living in our five adjacent cottages and we are looking for someone to join us in the fourth cottage. Even though the opening is in one of the houses (with two housemates) we are very much a group, so moving in would be joining all of us in our adventures.

• The room is available from mid April with some flexibility around move in date.
• It has a double bed, a built in wardrobe and desk.

• Rent is £500 pcm. Internet, water, electric, and council tax are additional (approximately £150 pcm)

- - The property - -

• Though technically in Trumpington, the town centre is 15 minutes away at a leisurely cycle speed, the train station is even closer, we're just down the road from Addenbrooke's Hospital, the M11 is a 5 minute drive away and housemates commute all over the city every day. It’s a pretty convenient location.

• We have off-road parking, a green space with apple trees and a hammock, and a garden where some of the housemates grow veg and pretty flowers.

• The kitchen is small, that is just a fact in the world. We've managed to feed 30 people out of three of the four kitchens for our annual thanksgivingmas dinner, so it can be done. With the size in mind there’s little room for additional furniture/stuff – just something to bear in mind if that’s something you have lots of.

- - The household - -

• Between the five houses there are thirteen people ranging from 23 to 35 in age with a roughly equal gender split and range of sexual identities.

• Your potential housemates are a 27yr old book cover designer and 25yr old biologist. We’re both easy-going, silly and self-aware. We enjoy a peaceful home and relatively early nights, both of us have varying work schedules. But across the cottages we are fans of an impromptu living room dance party and neighbours frequently 'pop in' for chats/drinks.

• Other almost-housemates (in adjacent but technically separate houses) include PhD and masters students, conservationists, an archeologist, a punter (as in, down the river with a pole), various scientists, and a costumier. We're also quite international, with American, Taiwanese, Welsh-Spanish, Cambridge locals, an amiable Londoner and a proudly Northern constituent (past formations have included Australian, South African, Bulgarian, Hungarian, Italian, Scottish, French, Polish, Greek, German, and Spanish housemates). So a pretty varied bunch.

• We have a fairly high proportion of vegetarians - both your potential housemates are vegetarian and would like to keep a vegetarian/pescatarian household.

• We are a lot like a family; this means we really want to find someone who will be happy living here! We like to be quite social. People across the houses often eat together, go to the pub, play games, play guitar/ukulele and sing, have fires, watch films or tv, do sports, go swimming in the river and occasionally go on trips to places. It's not required to be social all the time, but we'd like to find someone who would find that aspect a positive thing. In that spirit, it's not first come first moving in.

What we are looking for:

• Someone who is nice, friendly, moderately tidy, and interested in joining in things (not that it's mandatory, just some of the time).
