MORE THAN JUST A ROOM: Be sure to read from start to finish as this is more than just a room. It includes more space which although shared will be mostly yours.

For those who desire higher end living in a high end location, offering peace and tranquility whilst still having everything a thriving, picturesque village has to offer. Absolutely not to be confused with cheaper accommodation, pretending to be something other than the reality.

Available from August, a stunning double room located in the quintessentially English village of Prestbury in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Away from the madding crowds but enjoying excellent rail and transport links to pretty much anywhere and everywhere, yet with lovely restaurants, shops and a wealth of amenities within the village itself. Welcome to laid back, lovely living in Cheshire’s famous golden triangle.

The room itself forms part of a townhouse which is positioned by the banks of the River Bollin. Views from the room overlook the lawns which are well kept and can be used for sitting and relaxing. The bedroom is boutique in style with quality furnishings, featuring a designer double bed, orthopaedic mattress, open wardrobe, bedside cabinets, under bed storage space, mirror, stool and shelving.

Shared aspects (but mostly yours - see later): The lounge is on the ground floor - Arabesque in style, including designer corner sofa, iconic modern classic recliner and footstool etc (check photos). Adjoining the lounge is a contemporary bathroom, with bath, shower, toilet and wash basin. Also on the same level is a separate contemporary kitchen/dining/utility space, with bar table and stools, hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine and dryer.

Bi-folding doors let the outside in, leading directly from the lounge onto a balcony, overlooking the Bollin and a spectacular conservation area. Fabulous for enjoying breakfast and coffee in the morning.

Step down from the balcony onto the decking area where you can subsume to nature, submitting any cares and stresses to the soothing waters of the Bollin. You may catch sight of some fish or even the herons which seem to have made this stretch of the river a regular place to visit.

Preparing dinner on the bbq is something else you may wish to indulge in. If not there’s the kitchen instead or the village is only a two minute walk, where you can dine at any one of a number of great restaurants including Lilac Cottage, Base Pizzeria, The Bridge, Baccus Champagne & Oyster Bar, The Coast, The Leigh Arms or the Indian Thali. If it’s just a drink you fancy, the historic Admiral Rodney 17th century coaching house is where you’ll find locals and visitors alike. The Leigh Arms, Bridge, Coast and The Fox Hole also serve just drinks.

Eating and drinking aside, what else is there to do right on on your doorstep? Well, there’s a squash club, a tennis club, a golf club, and a cricket club in the village, along with all sorts of other activities such as yoga in the village hall and pilates.

If that’s not enough, Macclesfield Leisure Centre is a 5 min drive away, same as The Tytherington Club, or if you really want to spoil yourself, Champneys Spa and health club at Mottram Hall. That’s 3 more gyms and all the activities/classes and two more golf courses if you’re an avid golfer.

Plus, if you love walking and cycling, you’ll be in paradise. A two minute walk and you’ll find yourself deep in the lush Cheshire countryside and the country lanes are heaven on earth for cyclists.

The train station is a 5 min walk, 1 by car, where the trains run regularly to Manchester (29 mins), Macclesfield (7mins) Birmingham (1hr 19mins) and London (2hr 17mins). The M60 to the national motorway network is approx 20mins by car.

But here’s the best part. Much of the time, I tend to just use the lounge and kitchen on the middle floor. So although the downstairs lounge, kitchen/dining space and toilet/bathroom will still be shared, they will mostly be yours to enjoy.

But wait, it gets even better, as you’ll also be in the special company of Sir Walter Kipling, a very affectionate dog who just loves people and likes to amuse with his propeller tail.

One last thing. Feel free to message for a link to some more photos so you can get more of an idea of this lovely accommodation and location. Or call for more info.
