Room to Rent – Friendly Family Home Near Swanpool, Falmouth

We have a lovely room available in our clean, welcoming family home, around a 10-minute walk from Swanpool.

The room has plenty of storage and comes with your own private bathroom. All bills are included in the rent, including a cleaner, and there is off-street parking available.

The house is ideally located, with the Co-op and Boslowick shops around a 5-minute walk away and Penmere train station approximately 10 minutes away.

A little about us:
My husband and I live here with our two boys, aged 8 and 18 months. We're a busy family and are often out and about doing activities, so we're looking for someone who would be happy living in a family home and is comfortable around children.

I work from home, fitting work around the children where I can, so we've generally found that someone who works outside the home works best for our household.

We appreciate that everyone has their own work schedule and routines, and we'd like to find someone who fits comfortably within that. Being considerate of each other's routines, particularly around shared spaces and meal times, is important to us so that everyone feels at home and things run smoothly. We tend to eat early, which gives us time to tidy up and free the kitchen for when you get home from work.

Our house is spread over three floors, which means the available room offers a nice degree of separation. Our 8-year-old's bedroom is opposite the room, so we're looking for someone who is happy with no overnight guests. He has the odd play date but he is mainly downstairs with us or out playing with friends, he isn't one to really play in his room.

Who we're looking for:

We're particularly interested in working female professionals, although we'd also be happy to consider a mature student, especially someone studying for a master's degree or undertaking a placement.

We're looking for someone friendly, tidy and considerate who would enjoy living in a family environment.

Rent and tenancy:

Available from the 1st Feb 2027
The initial contract will be for 6 months. References and checks will be carried out through a letting agent, and the £250 deposit will be protected in the Deposit Protection Service (DPS) scheme.
