Tenancy takeover; Durham; 39wk:220wk

Hi,

I’m looking for a Durham student to take over my tenancy for a single room in a fresh 2026 renovation 6‑bed all‑boys student house at 51 Highgate. The tenancy is a unique, short 39‑week fixed contract at £220 per week (all bills included utilities, etc.) Location is 5 minutes or so from the city centre. The house will be otherwise occupied by 5 other Durham students, all studying a mix of different degrees from Chemistry to History.

Room: single room, fully furnished with a proper bed, desk, chair, wardrobe, etc. Double beds with premium mattresses! Its a really nice property, but no pictures available at the moment due to renovation.

Shared spaces: fully equipped shared kitchen, communal living room, and 2 bathrooms in the house

Who I’m looking for

- A current Durham University student (for council tax reasons)
- Someone happy to live in an all‑male house
- Able to take over the tenancy for the remaining 39‑week contract
- Willing to go through the usual checks with the landlord/agent if required
