Small Double Room in Cosy Kendal Home

I have a cosy small double room soon to be available in my beautiful riverside home right in the heart of Kendal, just a short walk from the train station, bus station, and all local amenities.

The room is furnished and would suit someone looking for a calm, comfortable home rather than a busy or high-turnover house share.

There’s a small shared bathroom with a bath over shower.

You’d be living with me, the live-in landlord, who works from home full-time, along with two characterful terriers. It’s therefore super important you’re caring and responsible around dogs. You’ll also need a sense of humour!

I’m looking for a professional, considerate female who values a calm and homely environment, and is easy-going and sociable in shared spaces.

There’s no parking, but there are several parking options nearby, including free evening and Sunday morning parking just around the corner.

Rent includes all bills (utilities, council tax, broadband). Council Tax Band B.

This is a special and much-loved home, where the door is always open to old friends and new. I have a busy life but I love to host when I can, so from time to time friends may pop in, stay over, or we'll have the occasional social gathering. It isn't a completely private or silent home, but it is always respectful, relaxed and considerate. You'll be very welcome to join in, and equally free to enjoy your own space.

The room comes with a small double bed and chest of drawers, with space for a desk and clothes rail or additional storage if needed.

Shared spaces include the kitchen/living room, bathroom and courtyard garden. There’s also a locked shed should you need to keep a bike.

It’s not a show-home, but I love it very much, so I’m looking for someone who will treat it with the same care and respect, keeping shared areas clean and tidy.
