From January 2025, a room will be available on the first floor of my end-of-terrace stone-built house with patio & garden in central Buxton, Derbyshire. Suitable for a professional, doctoral researcher or visiting scholar looking for short-medium term accommodation in a quiet and studious household. The house is a 5-min walk to the train station (with regular trains to Manchester, which is an hour away) and to the thriving town centre. There is unrestricted on-road parking. I'm a female academic at the Open University and UCL and work mainly from home, so will be mostly in my second floor study during the day Monday to Friday. I'm away most weekends and travel frequently. Languages spoken are English, Italian, and French. The room has become available since my son left for university. Length of stay negotiable.
